The C++ Software Engineer is a unique opportunity to

Contribute in a meaningful way to the further growth of Enfocus. As the PitStop team, we are responsible for the PitStop product portfolio. This includes all the software for quality assurance and editing PDF documents, as well as the accurate viewing of PDFs via our online proofing tool. Prepress professionals and their customers all over the world use our products to check if their PDF documents are print ready or to do last minute fixes before printing.

Your responsibilities as a C++ Software Engineer at Enfocus, an Esko company, include:

+ actively contributing and taking part in the agile development practices (scrum)

+ bringing your ideas and insights to the discussions about how to implement certain product requests

+ taking part in the code review process, maintaining our automated test suite, and interacting with our Quality Assurance Engineers to create the highest possible quality

+ implementing requirements from A to Z in consultation with the other Software Engineers (we do the functional analysis on where and how to add the requested features ourselves), the Quality Assurance Engineers and the Project Manager

+ keeping customer experience in mind to create the best possible user experience we can achieve within the framework limitations we face (PitStop Pro is a plug-in into Acrobat Professional)

Depending on your level of experience, we’ll give you different kind of tasks to grow into the job, the product, and the industry. So junior, as well as mid-level, or experienced software engineers are invited to apply.

We are looking for a professional who is:

+ analytical and solution oriented

+ a team player, but still able to coordinate your own work

+ prepared to learn on the job about the printing industry and the ins and outs of the PDF format related to the printing industry

+ prepared to keep high quality standards

+ willing to (learn to) execute their programming skills on all platforms we support (Windows, macOS and Linux)

Your Education and/or Background Experience will include:

+ a degree in computer science, engineering, IT, mathematics, physics, or equivalent based on previous work experiences

+ proficiency in English

+ proven experience with C++ and enjoying using it

+ interest to stay up to date on software technology, tools, and practices

+ having interest for or experience with web development (JavaScript, CSS, HTML) would be a plus
